Heather Nauert

 

Heather Ann Nauert (born January 27, 1970) is an American broadcast journalist and former official of the government who served as the Spokesperson for the United States Department of State in the Donald Trump administration from 2017 through 2019. She was a senior associate at the Hudson Institute. It is an conservative think tank.



 



 Before her post at the Department of State she was an Fox News correspondent and news presenter. Nauert was also Acting Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs under the Trump administration from March until October 2018. Nauert was named by Trump to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board as well as to the White House Commission on White House Fellowships in the year 2019.
